This book is the first publication of a collection of oral history accounts given by people living in the Ore Valley, Hastings.
Who are this group of people? Originally the idea came from a joint photography and writing project – a collaboration between local people, The Centre for Continuing Education at the University of Sussex and Hastings Borough Council. It records the life experiences and day to day events in the Valley. A number of local people came forward who became the active core of a piece of work involving the telling and gathering of stories and sharing and reflection on memories and experience.
