We have the official opening of the Oasis men’s group on Monday 5th Feb by The Deputy Mayor – Nigel Sinden, if any men would like to attend. There will be nibbles and soft drinks .The event is at Broomgrove Community Centre at 12 noon.
If you are interested in the men’s group please pop along on a Monday 11.45 – 1.45pm. It is FREE and there are drinks, fruit and cake available at sessions. We have outings organised, woodwork, chair based exercise, lunches out and there are table games, cards and table pool to play, books to read and friendly men to chat with.
OUR BIG ANNUAL RAFFLE
We are now selling raffle tickets for our Big annual raffle which is drawn in June – so plenty of time to buy a book of tickets for £2.50 each month! We have nearly thirty prizes so far and we aim to get as many as last year- 60. There are vouchers for meals out, chocolates, haircuts, ice creams, money, craft items, hampers and a whole lot more to win, so don’t miss out ask us for raffle tickets and support a local charity. There is a poster showing prizes- www.Orevalley.co.uk FB – Oasis Community Project- East Hastings
We have our AGM this year on Tuesday 29th May at Broomgrove Community Centre, and this is the opportunity to take out an annual membership at £13 for adults £6.50 for children. The membership lasts a year and entitles you to subsidies off outings, lunches out, theatre trips etc and the more activities you attend, the more money you save. You can still attend outings and activities and we will only charge you the group rate it has cost us. This year as it’s our 21st year we will be inviting local organisations to have an information table in the large hall before and after the AGM. There will information on Big Local, health, energy saving, Men’s group, Optivo Housing Association to name a few, so keep the date free in your diary to pop along to hear all about what Oasis have been up to in the last year and, enjoy a free lunch and see what other organisations are up to. We look forward to seeing you there. (There will be posters with more information, please phone Jackie on 427 582 to book a place or complete the bottom of the poster, thanks)
We have a sponsored silence coming up and a sponsored walk, so if you are feeling fit for a walk or like the challenge of keeping quiet for a couple of hours then please book in for the events. If not may be you could sponsor someone while we raise funds for our charity.
We are arranging quizzes at The Master Fish Bar restaurant on the old town seafront. The venue is accessible and the price includes fish and chips ( or alternative meal), so if you have a team that would like to come and challenge for the winning team, please phone Jackie on 427 582 to book.
We have several outings planned and in the pipeline, so please contact Jackie for further information on 427 582 or leave a message on the answerphone.
